INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS and REMINDERS:
Each lock is easy to install and comes complete with instructions.
Lock opening is 6 1/4".
Opening can be lessened by placing pre-drilled shims underneath lock.
Lock should be installed 4" to 8" from the left side of the piano's fallboard (bass end).
Lock should be installed squarely on front end of keybed, without rubbing against fallboard, or being placed too far away from fallboard.
Try different placement positions without going any further than 20% of fallboard's entire length.
The fallboard should not open any more than 1/3 inch when installed properly.
Comes with four wood screws.
Use the shims to place screws' position underneath first, before attempting to install underneath keybed.
You should NOT have to pre-drill any holes to start screws, into underside of keyed. Keybeds with extremely hard wood may require a small starter hole.
Comes complete with built-in Masterlock and 2 keys.
Made in USA of high-density, high-performance plastic.
